Once, when she was thirteen, Carmen remembered turning to Tibby with her CosmoGirl magazine in one hand and her eye pencil in the other and declaring that she could never, ever get sick of doing makeovers. I suspected from the off that Tibby hadn’t committed the suicide the other three had in their grief and frustration and desperation believed of her.

Carmen is a semi-successful actress in New York who is engaged to a sometimes pretentious man her friends dislike. One thing I love about this series is you really feel like you’re one of the “sisters”.
I was going to say that as readable as it was, it was just too much for me to handle, and that these girls always seem like they need to learn the same lessons over and over again, and the lesson never sticks. It is revealed through the novel that Tibby was suffering from Huntington’s disease and aware that she was going to die, even though her death by drowning was an accident.

Seriously all iPhone users, Ann Brashares is sending you a message! Whether or not she liked it, she was perfectly good at playing the game when she chose to. And the never-ending back and forth with Kostos Sisterhood Everlasting Sisterhood 5 by Ann Brashares. That was the dirty secret of the entertainment industry: This one, for instance, was an old one. I definitely loved what was happening on the train, but before that she had around pages where I was mostly uninterested in what she was doing. Yeah, there’s a thing that happens that I don’t LIKE, that shook me, made me mad, made me disagree – and to be honest, there’s a part of it that made me question the treatment, but I don’t have the qualifications to say whether or not it was bad – but this explores so many facets of growing older that hit me in the feels.
