Pickover’s primary interest is in finding new ways to expand creativity by melding art, science, mathematics, and fisicw seemingly disparate areas of human endeavor. Overall I thought the book was really interesting. My brother is a great resource for teaching but I still did not understand phy The Physics Book is a phenomenal book.

For my 8th grade physical science librl, I always needed help with the physics part of the class until I read The Physics Book about two months after we started the first unit on physics. The book is very well organized as its pages reflect discoveries at a certain time period, each page summarizes the overall topic so one will not have to ponder over detail. I did not understand physics and did not want to learn about physics.
As other reviewers mentioned, the book only provides one page picture and one page description of the milestone. And I’m not just talking about the shiny cover and the glossy pages pickovwr pretty pictures. It is entertaining and beautiful. A very impressive tome covering milestones in the history of physics. The Physics Book is the first book I have read from this series.
