I would say that Ilford has kept up the silver content, and a commitment to serious photographers. The grain is so ilforr and natural looking. Ilford HP5 Plus accessories. I strongly recommend working with Lomography on getting it developed. Just my opinion, and I have never performed any formal testing, or shot with them side by side. With hhp5 exception of a single dark strip across one negative which may well have been my error while developing this film is beautiful. Where Delta is a bit more grainy, constrasty and grittier, HP5 is more clean, neutral, and almost soulless.
The negatives easily scanned on my canon scanner.

The film typically responds with a medium contrast result when shot and developed at its box speed of ISO It’s also very new-user friendly coming with a pitch black film canister to hold it when not in a camera as well as development instructions inside the box. I had the aperture set to 1. My results suggest they could stretch this at least a couple of stops faster — more on that further down. As mentioned above, there can be some fall-off in shadow detail in especially dark scenes but this can be controlled in development and more importantly, used to artistic effect. Its wide exposure latitude makes it a great choice for beginners, those returning to film as well as the more experienced professional users. Exhibiting notably wide exposure latitude, this film responds well to use in mixed and difficult lighting and provides medium contrast for greater overall control.
