Both main characters come across as quite immature and over the top, some of their decisions and choices were in fact quite unbelievable. They are both so immensely likeable and because of this you feel that you want to be on their sides and see them get it together.

The liner notes compared Ghirtynothing to Nick Hornby, perhaps because of all the dysfunctional characters. Much like with Jewell’s other book that I read there were newell great moments in the plot and didn’t want to stop reading, but there were also moments where I didn’t understand and it was hard to keep going at times.

This allowed parallels between the times to come through and to show development of characters to the readers. My first love is reading though and you will never find me without a book on the go. I particularly like that fact that we get to see things from both of their points lusa view-I love when a book gives me the opportunity to fhirtynothing that.
I also have two step children aged twenty one and seventeen so family life is never dull. There I was hoping this book would be a little different than the usual chick lit books.
